Lackawanna County DA

Grants Assistant

Office portfolio from Kim Potter's July 2026 lists, plus open solicitations verified on 2026-07-26.

Start with My week

The default view shows grants you marked Pursue or Watch, plus anything due in the next 7 days. Use List to browse all open RFPs, or Board for the office pipeline.

Two-step federal grants (DOJ / COPS)

Some grants require two separate filings: first a short form on Grants.gov, then the full application in JustGrants a few days later. You cannot skip Grants.gov and apply in JustGrants alone.

If you see “Grants.gov deadline is over”, the short-form date has passed. Check Grants.gov — if that form is already submitted, you can still finish JustGrants before its deadline. If not, that round is closed.

Other grants (for example SAMHSA) use Grants.gov only — one step, no JustGrants.

Office fit badges

  • DA can lead — your office can be the applicant
  • DA as partner — another agency should lead; DA may join
  • Refer out — not DA — pass to police or another agency (example: COPS hiring grants)
  • Check eligibility — read the brief or NOFO before investing time
